Changdeokgung Palace Moonlight Tour

According to the Cultural Heritage Administration on the 19th March, ‘Changdeokgung Palace Moonlight Tour’ will be held from April 5th to October 28th.

‘Changdeokgung Palace Moonlight Tour’ will be started at 8:00 pm at Donghwamun, which is the main gate, and takes a commemorative photo. Instead of just listening, people can listen to commentary from a commentator, and look around the Changdeokgung Palace. You can just follow people like you are invisible, but we encourage you to hang out with the people around you and enjoy the tour.

In the main hall, you can feel the night time while listening to the sound of Daegeum(a large bamboo transverse flute used in traditional Korean music), while enjoying various refreshments at the Yeongyeongdang, watching Pansori and traditional dance. Especially, ‘picture stimulus’ can be seen on the theme of ‘Four Seasons of the King’.

Changdeokgung Palace Moonlight Tour

This year, ‘Changdeokgung Palace Moonlight Tour’ will be held 95 times in total as in last year, and will be held every Thursday ~ Sunday from April 5 to May 27 in the first half. However, only foreigners can participate on Sundays. Please note that there is no event schedule on May 6th.

2018 Changdeokgung Palace Moonlight Tour

The ‘Changdeokgung Palace Moonlight Tour’, which is one of the most popular programs of the ancient palace use program, From 2 pm on the 21st March, the ‘Changdeokgung Palace Moonlight Tour’ reservation will be opened to allow visitors to visit the special palace at the auction ticket.

On the other hand, there is a special visit to Gyeonghoeru Pavilion in Gyeongbokgung Palace (National Treasure No.224), which can not go up normally. From April 1 to October 31, visitors will be able to enjoy the view of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Inwangsan Mountain with a professional commentator.
