Group BTS will appear on the program “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” which is broadcast throughout the US.
On December 30 (US time), via Twitter account, the US’ ABC station announced BTS’ poster and promoted the group’s performance with the caption, “New Year’s #RockinEve. Tomorrow. ABC”. Fans shared the tweet and expressed their high expectations for the event.
“New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” is the largest New Year’s event in the States and has received worldwide attention. The event was held at typical locations of the States such as New York’s Times Square, the cities of Los Angeles, New Orleans, Miami, etc. This year marks the 48th time the event is organized and it is aniticipated to attract 25 million American audiences, so the line-up with special stages has also received warm interest.
It is expected that BTS will perform in Times Square in New York with popular artists such as Post Malone, Alanis Morissette, Sam Hunt, etc. The LA stage has the presence of a number of stars like Dua Lipa, Paula Abdul, Anthony Ramos, etc. Meanwhile, in New Orleans are Usher and Sheryl Crow, and in Miami is the group Jonas Brothers.
“New Year’s Rockin Eve” will be broadcast live on Mnet from 9:55 am (KST) January 1, 2020. Along with the host Kim Il Jung, TV artist Ahn Hyun Mo and popular culture critic Cha Woo Jin will be in charge of commentary for this New Year’s event.
