Best place for shopping in Seoul, from Korean clothes to cosmetics! #Ewha Woman's University #Ewha shopping street

Ewha Woman’s University is, without a doubt, the best woman’s University in Korea. Apart from the top-class educational level of Ewha Woman’s University, its streets have been famous for shopping for a really long time. Even when I was an elementary school student, I came for a small trip with friends to buy stationery lol.

These days, tourists who seek reasonable yet good Korean-style clothes visit this area. There’s a shopping street near Ewha Woman’s University Campus where you can find various clothing shops and shoe shops. You can also find all kinds of Korean cosmetics brands, here, for the reason that Woman’s University students are the most valuable clients for cosmetics shops!

If you come out of the subway station using Exit 2 or Exit 3, you just need to walk along the road. Then you will face the beautiful campus. On the way to the campus, there are various cosmetic brands, Olive Young, LaLaVla, and clothes shops. There are many alleys in this area so that you can explore alley by alley. Thanks to many coffee-lover students here, you can also enjoy inexpensive take-out coffee here!

You just need to walk along this street till you face the campus!

There’s a famous lens store “OLENS” close to the station exit. There are several lens stores in this area other than this shop, too!

If you get hungry while shopping, you can enjoy small bites of Korean street foods. Especially in winter, you gotta try fishcake with hot soup! Ask for a cup of hot soup when ordering fishcake 🙂

You can spot the statue of peace here. This statue was dedicated by a university student to remember the sexual slavery by the Japanese during the 2nd world war.

Ewha Woman’s University

Ewha Woman’s University is a private women’s university in Seoul, South Korea founded in 1886 by Mary F. Scranton under Emperor Gojong. It is currently the world’s largest female educational institute and is one of the most prestigious universities in South Korea.

There are so many tourists who come to visit the campus for memorable pictures. (This kind of became a problem for students because they couldn’t really focus on studying because of the crowds on campus) Apparently, the campus of Ewha Woman’s University is really beautiful.

Everywhere you look is a mix of verdant green growth and old-style scholastic buildings. The quiet little garden on the hillside and the campus avenue full of ginkgo trees are hard to forget. Ewha means “pear flower” and, as a result, the school’s gate has a large bas relief sculpture of pear blossoms. Ewha Woman’s University ECC (Ewha Campus Complex) is Korea’s largest underground campus. There are six levels counting down from the ground floor.

There were so many people even though it was quite early in the morning! So diligent tourists who came for souvenir pictures 🙂

I took a selfie with the famous flowers lol It was quite embarrassing, so I had to pretend like a tourist, myself haha

If you leave the campus and turn right (to the direction of Shinchon train station), along the way, you will find all the Korean cosmetics shops you know.

The one you can look in the picture is a bubble tea shop, “HOICHA”. They have really cheap and good bubble tea! And the one right next to that place is a take-out coffee shop! Hot Americano is only 900won 🙂 Wow, right?

At the end of the street, you might find the Sinchon Train Station, and theater, “MEGA BOX”

There is a food court called “BoxSquare” opposite the movie theater. You can enjoy various kinds of Korean street food here ! There are seats prepared where you can comfortably enjoy your meal.

Near Sinchon Train Station, there’s this small alley where you can find small and cute restaurants! There were so many students inside the restaurants even though the location was a bit of puzzling.

This Greek yogurt shop called “Greek Day” is loved by almost all the students at Ewha Woman’s University. If you visit this area, You might see people walking around carrying yogurt with colorful fruits on top of it in transparent plastic bags. I’m 98% sure that they got the yogurt from this place called “Greek Day”

Greek Day(Greek Yogurt Cafe)

In this famous Greek yogurt dessert shop, you can order yogurt totally according to your taste. It can be said that it’s a DIY yogurt place. First, you can determine the amount of yogurt(numbers of scoops you want) and the toppings on it. There are so many different kinds of toppings such as fresh and varied fruits, cereal, nuts, and jam!

I bought two scoops of Greek Yogurt, and add grapes, strawberries, and almonds! What a healthy and delicious combination 🙂

After enjoying a healthy and fresh bowl of Greek yogurt, I headed back to the station! On the way back to the station, there were too many shops and restaurants I wanted to stop by… So tempting 🙁
