BTS cancels U.S. tour in the aftermath of COVID-19

The U.S. tour of the group BTS was eventually canceled in the aftermath of COVID-19.

Big Hit Entertainment, the agency of BTS, announced its entry on March 27 and said, “The schedule for BTS’ North American tour will be adjusted, adding that the U.S. tour, which was originally scheduled to be held from June 25 to June 6, will be postponed until later. We will let you know as soon as the date is fixed.”

The decision was made in the aftermath of COVID-19, which is entering a proliferation trend in the U.S. Other festivals in the U.S. are also being canceled one after another.

BTS suspended the ongoing exhibition at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and canceled all performances in Seoul scheduled for mid-February.

“We expect the situation to improve, but if we have to consider the health and safety of 200,000 visitors and artists, and cancel it soon after the concert date, we will inevitably decide to cancel it one month ahead of the schedule,” Big Hit Entertainment said.
