BTS 'Dynamite' music video has reached 600 million views

BTS music video “Dynamite” surpassed 600 million views on YouTube.

The music video for BTS’s digital single “Dynamite,” which was released at 1 p.m. on August 21, surpassed 600 million views at around 0:01 p.m. on the 17th. It proved its “recorded” popularity, adding 100 million views in about 27 days, following its 500 million views on Oct. 20.

This marks the ninth time that BTS has a music video of 600 million views in his career, following “DNA,” “Boy With Luv(feat. Halsey),” “FAKE LOVE,” “IDOL,” “MIC Drop” remix, “FIRE,” “Blood Sweat & Tears,” and “Dope.”

BTS’ ‘Dynamite’ is a COVID-19, a unique ‘healing song’ that everyone wants to deliver a message of vitality and hope in times of hardship. As a bright and exciting disco-pop genre, the music video features props and costumes from retro concepts and backgrounds using colorful colors. In particular, not only did the music video reaches the YouTube Premier View record with more than 3 million simultaneous viewers right after its release, but it also garnered 101 million views in 24 hours, which was recognized as the new record for “the most views in 24 hours” in YouTube music video history.

Above all, BTS became the first Korean singer to reach the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart (as of September 5) through “Dynamite.” It has been at the top of the charts for more than 10 weeks with its name on the latest chart (November 14).

Meanwhile, BTS has a total of 26 billion-viewed music videos, including “Dynamite.”
