Before the release of the new album, group BTS first showcased its song “Black Swan” to the world on January 17.

BTS released the song “Black Swan,” a track from its fourth full-length album “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7” on major local and overseas music websites at 6 p.m.

It will be the first time for BTS to perform one of the songs on the list before the release of its official album. “Black Swan” is a pre-released song, and the title track of the album will be unveiled next month(February 21)at 6 p.m. with the official release of the album “Map of the Sol: 7.”

According to the agency Big Hit Entertainment, “Black Swan” is a dreamy, cloud rap and Emo hip-hop genre song that blends trap drum beats and mournful lo-fi guitar melodies.

In “Black Swan,” the agency said, the BTS goes deep inside of itself and faces a shadow it hid as an artist.

“The more I do music, the more I fear that music will no longer impress me or shake me, but when I face the “Black Swan” in my heart, I ironically realize that I have nothing but music,” the agency explained.

Along with the announcement of “Black Swan,” BTS also unveiled “Art Film,” in which the Slovenian contemporary dance team “MN Dance Company” staged dance performance.

In addition, BTS also showcased Slovenia’s contemporary dance team, “MN Dance Company,” and Art Film by MN Dance Company, which was created through collaboration.

The released video starts with a famous quote by Martha Graham, a dancer who became the motif of “Black Swan.” Seven dancers reinterpret the sentiments of the song for modern dance, showing performance, and redoubling BTS’ presence as a global group.

“In particular, against the backdrop of unrealistic space, the original choreography and sensuous visual beauty reminiscent of the Black Swan, which was born against hardships and adversity, overwhelms our eyes,” Big Hit said.

BTS will release its fourth full-length album “Map of the Sol: 7” on Feb. 21. The album surpassed 3.42 million preorders over a week, setting the record for the most preorders ever for BTS’ album.
