“Daegu Global Game Culture Festival e-Fun 2018” hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Daegu Metropolitan City, Korea Creative Content Agency and Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency, the longest-ever game festival in Korea, will be held from September 15th (Sat) to 16th (Sun) in Dongseongno, Daegu.
The “Daegu Global Game Culture Festival e-Fun 2018”, which was started since 2000 to solve the cultural gap between generations with the improvement of the quality of life of the local citizens, is held annually by introducing various games and local game companies, have been trying to form a sound game culture and to spread awareness of the good effect of game.
The Civic Center RPG, which has been consistently implemented to create user-oriented game festivals, is the only program in Korea, attracting more than 1,000 citizens every year and receiving enthusiastic responses from participants every year.
In addition, the game video concert that combines game, video and music will be developed by Rhaon Entertainment, a local representative game company, this year, a popular online game “Tales Runner” provided by Smile Gate Megaport, will be on the stage. The film concert will showcase the excellence of Tales Runner and raise the expectations of existing fans.
The opening ceremony to announce the start of the event will be held on September 15th at 6:30 pm at Dongsung Outdoor Stage. Starting with a video concert, the 8-member popular female KPOP idol group “Lovelyz” and the explosive vocalist “Ben” will be attending as a singer and brighten up the festival.
In addition, various new programs are waiting for citizens.
For this year’s event, popular Youtube creators who are the partner with DIA TV will be launched with a new program to play games for citizens and YouTube creators. The list of famous YouTube creators and the timetable will be released later.
Also, the game cosplay competition and the casual game production demonstration of game creators will be waiting.
On the other hand, a total of 47,000 people attended the Daegu Global Game Culture Festival e-Fun 2017, which was successfully completed last year, exceeding the highest audience ever.
In particular, this year, this year, it will combine virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), and VR attractions can be used to perform a variety of missions, excitement and excitement is expected to add immersive realism.

‘Civic Center RPG’ will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 15, at the Main Gate of Daegu Department Store in Dongseongro, and will cover the winner with points earned for each mission.
The total amount of prize money is 5 million won (KRW), and prize money of 1,200,000 won / 800,000 won / 400,000 won is given to each of the first, second, and third groups of each group, and a prize worth 200,000 won is added to the VR mission top record team.
