Everland Rose Festival Opens on 17th of May

Everland, the amusement park in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, will hold a month-long “Rose Festival” from May 17 to June 16.

The Everland Rose Festival, which began in 1985 as the first flower festival in South Korea, marks its 35th anniversary this year, displaying about 720 varieties and 1 million roses at the 20,000 square-meter rose garden.

The main stage of the festival, the rose garden, went through a reconstruction last year, presenting a new center flower bed and observatory.

This year, the garden has been transformed into a themed rose garden with the concept of ‘falling in love’.

At the rose garden, visitors can see 20 new types of roses developed by Everland, as well as representative roses from countries around the world, including Britain, the United States and France.

Ahead of this year’s Rose Festival, Everland prepared various events for the festival in order for visitors to experience the new rose scent jointly developed with AmorePacific Corp., South Korean cosmetics giant.
