It snowed for the first time this winter throughout Seoul today (Dec 3). It snowed in Jeonju and other parts of Jeolla Province. The first snow in Jeonju was three days earlier than last year, and six days later than usual, according to the Jeonju office.
The snow fell as cold air from the northwest of Korea passed through the warm West Sea, bringing in a cloud platform made by sea level, air temperature difference, and more than 20°C.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) forecasted that Gangwon-Yeong-dong and Gyeongsang-do will have clear skies, but other areas will have occasional clouds, while South Chungcheong and Jeolla provinces will have weak rain or snow, while northern Gyeonggi Province and northern Gangwon-Youthwest will have sporadic snowfalls.
It also said that as cold air from the northwest of Korea passes through the warm sea level, cloud beds by sea trains continue to form in the West Sea from the night before, snow fleets are moving southeast and east at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour in the West Sea and Gyeonggi Bay
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, Jeolla Province will have snow or rain until this morning, and inland areas in Yeongseo, Gangwon Province and northern North Gyeongsang Province will have snow or rain early tomorrow, while Seoul and northern Gyeonggi Province will have snow or raindrops between this morning and early tomorrow morning.
The amount of snowfall expected Southern Gyeonggi Province, Chungcheong Province and Ulleung Island, Dokdo is expected 1 to 5 cm. Also, morning lows will be -4 C and daytime highs will be 4-10 C today, and Seoul’s feeling temperature will drop to -7 C as the wind blows.
