Here's how Singaporean Prime Minister Lee and Ho Ching spent 48hrs in Seoul

With the 2019 Korea-ASEAN special summit closed on Nov 26, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who visited South Korea to attend the meeting, delivered his Seoul tour via his Social media.

Prior to the summit, the PM took a short trip to Seoul to meet South Korean President Moon Jae-In in the Blue House. He also went sightseeing in the capital.

Later, Prime Minister Lee, took a tour of Seoul before heading to Busan by KTX, revealed the photos he took himself while touring the Gyeongui Line Forest Park, Seoullo 7017 and Hongdae’s night streets with his wife. He said, “Seoul has its own energy and unique charm.”

In particular, PM Lee said the “Gyeongui Line Forest Park” and “Seoullo 7017” show how urban space can be beautifully regenerated for citizens. “Seoul was reborn as a walking path instead of demolishing an overpass in front of Seoul Station,” Prime Minister Lee said. “Now, Seoulites can walk over the city just like the High Line in New York.”

As for the streets of Hongdae, “It is a very busy place with busking at night and full of locals and tourists. I didn’t eat street food in Hongdae because I was going to enjoy Chi-mac(chicken and beer),” Prime Minister Lee said.

In 2015, Lee visited Korea on a private vacation with his wife. At that time, Singaporeans flooded with inquiries for tours to South Korea as his images of him touring major tourist spots such as Seoul, Mount Seorak and Gyeongju were spread through Social media.
