SBS’s sci-fi series “Alice,” starring A-list actors Joo Won and Kim Hee-sun, was the most watched program in the 10-11 p.m. prime timeslot on Saturday.
Its latest episode scored 10 percent viewership in the metropolitan area, according to Nielsen Korea, a research and data analytics company.
The 16-part series got off to a good start on Aug. 28 with its first episode garnering 6.3 percent ratings.
Joo Won plays Park Jin-gyeom, a detective who seeks revenge after his mother was murdered. Kim plays a double role as Park’s mother and as Yoon Tae-yi, a genius physicist holding the key to time travel.

“There is a prejudice that a sci-fi drama is hard to follow, but ‘Alice’ is different because it is a story about human and family,” director Baek Soo-chan said during a press conference on Aug. 25. “We haven’t put much emphasis on the elements of fantasy such as time travel.”
“Alice” airs Fridays and Saturdays at 10 p.m.
