K-drama 'The Uncanny Counter' has confirmed the production of Season 2

An OCN’s weekend original drama “The Uncanny Counter” official said on the 25th, “The production of Season 2 has been confirmed. We are coordinating specific matters such as the filming schedule and timing.”

OCN is a movie channel on basic cable throughout South Korea, owned by CJ ENM E&M Division.

Jo Byung-gyu, Yoo Jun-sang, Yeom Hye‑ran and Sejeong, who played the leading roles, are also reportedly coordinating their appearances.

The Uncanny Counter, which ended on Jan. 24, was successful by rewriting the history of OCN ratings. The final episode was the highest ever OCN original, breaking its own highest ratings with an average of 11% to 11.9% in paid platform ratings that incorporated cable, IPTV, and satellites.

“The Uncanny Counter” is a delightful Korean style hero film in which evil-hunter “Counters” disguise themselves as noodle restaurant employees to defeat evil spirits on the ground. The unique theme of “Modern times Grim Reaper,” which sells noodles and catches evil spirits, and the cool development that turns every episode, completely fascinated viewers who were thirsty for Korean-style heroes. Thanks to the enthusiastic reviews from viewers, “The Uncanny Counter” recorded 10.6% viewership in just 12 episodes, breaking the double-digit ratings for the first time since OCN’s opening, as well as breaking its own highest ratings.
