Korean Government announced that No need to postpone or cancel the mass event such as KPOP concert

The Central Accident Prevention Headquarters of Korea announced on the 12th Feb. that it will prepare recommendations for the organizers and health authorities when holding mass events, festivals and tests in cooperation with the Central Anti-Disaster Headquarters and implement them from today.

The main point of the guideline is that the organizers should not need to postpone or cancel the collective event altogether, sufficiently parallel quarantine measures to prevent novel coronavirus infections and push for various events.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun said in a statement at the meeting that it is not desirable to unconditionally cancel or postpone events organized by central or local governments due to the coronavirus. The relevant ministries and local governments should thoroughly prepare quarantine measures and proceed with the scheduled events as planned,” Prime Minister pointed that out.
