Seoraksan National Park started to be colored with autumn foliage. The Korea Meteorological Administration said the first autumn foliage has started.
It was late five days later than last year and is at the same level as usual.
Autumn foliage usually starts to color when the daily minimum temperature falls below 5 degrees Celsius, but the time varies depending on the average minimum temperature in mid-September. For example, if the temperature is high, the autumn foliage will be delayed.
The first foliage, when viewed from the top of the mountain, is about 20% tinted from the top, and about 80% is seen as the peak of the autumn foliage.
The peak of the autumn foliage appears about two weeks after the first autumn foliage.
