Lotte World Tower “Seoul Sky”
Seoul Sky is 500 meters high from the ground and Lotte World Tower consists of 9 floors from 117 to 123 floors.
A double-deck elevator “Sky Shuttle”, which can accommodate up to 900 people per hour, and two cars running vertically under the ground, will arrive at the observation deck in a minute.
Even before opening, Seoul Sky is drawing in attention by breaking three Guinness World Records. The sky deck on the 118 Floor will be the “world’s highest glass-floored observation deck.”
The Sky Shuttle elevator is being recorded as both the fastest double-deck elevator, with a speed of 600 meters per minute, and the elevator covering the longest distance.
Visitors can board the elevator to Seoul Sky from the lobby levels on B1 and B2. Seoul Sky will provide a complete view of the entire city through the glass walls on all sides. On clear days, visitors will be able to see as far as Songdo, Incheon, and the Yellow Sea.
The sky deck, a 118-story transparent glass-bottom observation deck, is made of 45 mm thick bonded glass and can withstand a weight of 1 ton per square meter. A person weighing 75 kg can go up to 222 at the same time.
On the 120th floor, ‘Sky Terrace’ where you can enjoy the outdoor scenery, and ‘123 Lounge’ which is the lounge bar on the 123rd floor which is the highest floor were prepared.
Seoul Sky maintains a reasonable number of visitors by utilizing the People Count System, which can identify the number of people in the room.
To enhance security, they deployed face detection systems, airport-level search stations, security personnel throughout the observatory, and closed-circuit (CC) TVs.
The sky shuttle, which is an elevator, has 15 OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) displays installed on three walls and ceilings of the interior walls.
When you ride the elevator in the basement, you will experience Lotte World Tower from the Joseon Dynasty to the present to study the history of Seoul. When you ascend through the clouds, you will arrive at the observation deck.
Seoul Sky can be accessed from the 1st and 2nd basement floors, and the large media wall introducing South Korea and the Lotte World Tower attracts visitors.
