Changdeokgung Palace Moonlight Tour

The summer session of Moonlight Tour at Changdeokgung Palace is set to take place from August 22 to October 27. Although the tour is offered from Thursday to Sunday, international visitors can only sign up for the tour on Sundays, a foreigner-exclusive tour that offers a guided tour of the palace in English, Japanese, and Chinese. Moonlight Tour at Changdeokgung Palace is a special evening program where participants can explore Changdeokgung Palace, including the Huwon Garden, under a moonlit sky while carrying a cheongsachorong (traditional lantern covered with red and blue silk).

The tour begins at Donhwamun Gate, the main gate of Changdeokgung Palace. After a short photo time, participants will be led inside for a closer observation of the palace buildings, such as Injeongjeon Hall, Nakseonjae Pavilion, and Yeongyeongdang Hall. Participants can also watch traditional performance arts while enjoying tea and snacks at Yeongyeongdang Hall and appreciate a daegeum (traditional bamboo flute) performance at Sangnyangjeong Pavilion.

Reservations will be available online and via phone call starting from 14:00 on August 7. Tickets are limited to two per person. On the day of the event, foreigners must present their passport (or foreigner registration card) and reservation number to participate.

* Program will be divided into two sessions from September 26 to October 27 (1st Session 19:00-21:00, 2nd Session 20:00-22:00)
* Subject to cancellation in the event of heavy rain forecast. Participants will be notified individually.
