Pick one out of the list and try tomorrow after attending Seoul Music Awards. The area SkyDome is located in is not a tourist area, but there’s a college nearby. For that reason, there are many reasonably priced, and good restaurants in this area. Soon, the Korean baseball season will start, and that time you might have one more reason to visit this area! At that time, order take-out chicken to enjoy the baseball in authentic Korean way lol Anyhow, I’ll introduce some good and local places near Gocheok SkyDome.
Bbalbong Bunsik
25 Gyeongin-ro 47-gil, Gocheok 1(il)-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul
10:30 – 23:30
Anyone who has ever watched a Korean drama or movie would have seen this red food. This dish, called “Tteokbokki,” is Korean people’s soul food, which almost every Korean likes. However, with the rise in the popularity of delivery Tteokbokki, the price is increasing incredibly, but here, you can still enjoy Tteokbokki, Pork cutlet or Udon at a very reasonable price. Because it is a franchise store, this place can be found elsewhere in Seoul, too. The combination of pork cutlet and Tteokbokki might be much better than you can imagine!
Tongkeun Galbi
22 Gyeongin-ro 47-gil, Gocheok 1(il)-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul
16:30–02:00AM
If you come to Korea, without a doubt, eating proper Korean barbeque must be on your bucket list. If you have a plan attending Seoul Music Awards, wouldn’t it be the best if you had Korean-style, moreover, all-you-can-eat barbecue right near Gocheok SkyDome?
Samgyeopsal, which people often think of when asked about Korean barbeque, is really delicious, of course, but I personally recommend this Galbi. If you mix onions with the sauce (soy sauce and vinegar) and eat the sweet pork Galbi with the onion, you will get a greasy taste and a crunching onion at the same time which is like a heaven. Best of all, the place is all-you-can-eat which means that people are allowed to eat as much as they want and only costs 12,000 won per person.
Kimtteokbee
107 Gyeongin-ro 47-gil, Gocheok 1(il)-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul
11:00 – 23:00 (break 15:00 – 16:00)
The name of this place, “Kimtteokbee,” is named after the initials of Gimbap, Tteokbokki, and Beer. As can be inferred from its name, this shop is also a place where drinks are served at night. But, of course, you can only have snacks or foods, so there are various ranges of ages of guests. Also, there are many different kinds of set menus in which you can taste three to four different kinds of dishes at a reasonable price of 20,000 to 30,000 won.
