Psy set to release new album in July 2019

Singer Psy, who rose to global stardom with his “Gangnam Style” music video, is set to release his ninth album.

His agency P NATION said he will officially drop his new album in July. It didn’t give any further details of the forthcoming album, including its title.

It will be his first album since he founded P NATION after leaving his former agency YG Entertainment.

The announcement came 26 months after his last album “4×2=8.”

Earlier, the singer hinted that he was set to return to the spotlight through a post on Instagram.

“When I release my album, it will be my ninth. I would love to get your recommendations for the title of the new album,” it read.

Many fans offered their suggestions for his new album, with several international fans asking for English translations.

The new album will be released on the occasion of “2019 Summer Swag,” an annual concert put on by Psy. Tickets for the concert will go on sale June 11. Psy will perform in seven cities ― Suwon, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Seoul, Incheon and Daejeon from July 13 to Aug. 24.
