PSY’s “Gangnam Style” hit 3 Billion Views

The music video of ‘Gangnam Style’, the worldwide hit song of Psy exceeded 3 billion views on YouTube.

YG Entertainment said music video “Gangnam Style” exceeded 3 billion YouTube views by 8 am on the 26th November. This is the first record for a single song by a Korean singer and KPOP song.

Since its launch in July 2012, ‘Gangnam Style’ has been loved by the world. He received the Best Video Award at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards and the New Media Award at the 2012 American Music Awards.

Google’s YouTube division has upgraded its hit-count system to 9,220 trillion views which was set to 2.1 billion views because of a new record of ‘Gangnam Style’.

Bridget Jones (Renee Zellweger) and Mark Re (Colin Firth) danced to this song in the movie “Bridget Jones’ s Baby” which was released last year, and also highlighted the popularity of Psy in the world media.

In addition to ‘Gangnam style’, other music videos of Psy are also popular. Psy’s “Gentleman” MV hit 1.1 billion views in 2013, while “Daddy” and “Hangover” hit 300 million views in September. As a result, Psy currently has six videos with over 100 million views on YouTube.

Psy will open the ‘All Night Stand 2017 – god Psy’ concert at the Busan Sajik Gymnasium from 22 to 24 of next month and the Seoul Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium from 28 to 31 in Seoul.
