South Korea’s Ministry of Justice on 2nd April deported eight foreigners who refused to accept two-week self-isolation measures for those who entered the country.
In order to prevent the inflow of new coronavirus infections (COVID-19), the government has been implementing self-isolation measures for two weeks for all people who entered the country from the previous day(1st April).
The Ministry of Justice said it was informed by the quarantine office that it was not appropriate to enter the country because it did not comply with government measures such as refusing to quarantine even though it was informed in advance that it was subject to quarantine from the stage of boarding in the country.
The Justice Ministry plans to closely cooperate with quarantine authorities to impose entry bans and other measures such as deportation and entry bans on foreigners who refuse or violate their own quarantine.
