The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has introduced this year’s winners in its competition of traditional Hanok tour programs for international tourists.

The programs include a stay in traditional Hanok building, traditional tea ceremonies and a tour of nearby attractions.

The Hanok residences that are a part of the program are all certified by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism or the KTO itself.

There are a total of nine Hanok tours offered in Korean and two tours in English.

The two English tours are: “Exploring Gyeongju’s Historical Sites on Bicycle” and “Trip to Yeongju, a Town of Joseon Scholars.” Both offer a one-night’s stay in a Hanok and some hands-on traditional activities, such as making rice cake tteok snacks.

The Hanok tours will run until December.
