Tony Award-winning singer-actress Lea Salonga fangirled over the boys of K-pop group BTS who recently performed at ABC’s annual New Year’s Rockin’ Eve show.
On Twitter, the Filipina celebrity lauded the international music sensation whose latest U.S. television appearance wowed her. Unfamiliar with the group, the Once On This Island star genuinely asked who the boys were. Providentially, the group’s fans, referred to as ARMYs, readily introduced BTS and gamely guided her through their music.

PHILIPPINES ARMY: That was @BTS_twt ( pertaining to the boy group twitter account ) Consist of 7 members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, Jungkook. They sing and dance at the same time and never did lip-sync. They train 12 hours+ a day. they also write and produce most of their songs, usually RM and Suga helped each other to produce.
