X1 has finally decided to disband, IZ*ONE is expected to resume their activities

While X1 has finally decided to disband, IZ*ONE is expected to resume their activities.

X1 is a project group created by Mnet’s “ProduceX 101.” X1 made its debut with first mini-album “Emergency: QUANTUM LEAP” in August last year and received much attention, but suspended activities as X1 was embroiled in controversy over vote-rigging.

Later in a police investigation, the producers, including Ahn Joon-young and Kim Yong-beom, admitted to fabricating the results of the vote to manipulate the entire season of the “Produce” series. In response, the prosecution indicted Ahn Joon-young and Kim Yong-beom on charges of obstruction of business and fraud. In the meantime, not only X1 but also IZ*ONE were directly hit by the suspension of their activities.

In the end, CJ ENM held a press conference and made an official apology for the manipulation of the “Produce” series on December 30 last year, five months after the controversy erupted. At the time, CJ ENM CEO Huh Min-hoe said, “We have all the responsibility and we will support everything related to the resumption of IZ*ONE and X1 activities. We will take into account the members’ mental pain and pressure and the fans’ voices so that they can be active as soon as possible,” he said.

However, the agencies failed to reach an agreement on the resumption of the activities. Four months after the debut, X1 took its own path. On the other hand, IZ*ONE, who debuted through “Produce 48,” is positively considering resuming activities. “All of us are positively considering resuming IZ*ONE’s activities,” Mnet said.

According to multiple officials, IZ*ONE plans to resume its activities in January. In November last year, IZ*ONE was set to make a comeback with its first full-length album “BLOOM*IZ.” IZ*ONE is expected to release its first full-length album “BLOOM*IZ,” which was put off as soon as possible, and meet fans again in earnest.

Also, fans of IZ*ONE and X1 support each member. Although the two groups are on opposite paths, the opinion is that the fans will remain in their minds.

“IZ*ONE and X1,” which have been suffering a lot so far, are paying attention to what the two groups will show in the future after overcoming controversy and how much love each other will receive.
