Singer Lee Hi is making a fresh start with a new agency ― AOMG ― and the new single “Holo” after leaving YG Entertainment.

The agency, a hip-hop label run by rapper Jay Park, announced its latest artist through social media Wednesday with a video, saying: “The incredibly talented artist Lee Hi has been officially signed with AOMG.”

“We are excited to work with Lee Hi, as the artist has caught our eye for a long time. She will have our full support to pursue her career and build up a wider repertoire.”

Lee left YG last December after being with it since the start of her K-pop career, saying “the decision came after long deliberation.” “As I’m moving on from the company that stood by me in my growth for eight years, I am taking my time to thoroughly consider the new agency to work with,” she said as she left YG. Under the new agency, Lee is making a comeback with the single “Holo,” about a year after her last album “24℃” in May 2019.

“Through the monologue intro to the chorus of the song, Lee Hi will send a message of hope in her own tone and sentiment,” AOMG said.

Lee garnered fame after competing on SBS’s hit survival show “K-pop Star” in 2011. After being a runner-up, she made her debut as a solo artist with the song “1,2,3,4” the following year. Since then, she has released several hits such as “ROSE,” “Breathe,” and “Hold My Hand.” Her latest single will hit streaming sites at 6 p.m. Thursday.
